How to raise a data protection complaint.
If you think I have handled personal information incorrectly, I want to hear from you and deal with the issue fairly and promptly.

How to submit a complaint
Email [email protected] with the subject line Data protection complaint. You can also call 07764 746952 to discuss how to submit your concern. You do not need to use legal terminology.
Please explain what happened, the information involved (without attaching sensitive documents unnecessarily), when you became aware of the issue and the outcome you are seeking. If you are acting on behalf of someone else, I may need to confirm your authority.
If you prefer to write, please address your correspondence to Andrew Metcalf trading as Piece by Piece HR & Recruitment Consultancy, c/o Spotlight Hair & Beauty, 723 Abbeydale Road, Sheffield S7 2BE, UK. Please do not include sensitive original documents or special category information in ordinary post without first arranging secure handling.
What I will do
- Acknowledge: I will acknowledge receipt of a data protection complaint within 30 days.
- Assess: I will review the issue, make appropriate enquiries, request necessary information and consider the relevant data protection requirements.
- Respond: I will explain the outcome and any appropriate next steps without undue delay, keeping you informed where more time is needed.
- Record: I will document the complaint and response proportionately to support accountability and learning.
Complaints about personal data processing are treated separately from requests to access or correct information; applicable rights-request deadlines still apply.
Your right to contact the ICO
You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection. I encourage you to contact me first where practical, so I can try to resolve the concern, but that does not remove your right to approach the ICO.
Requests to access or change information
If you want a copy of your information, believe information is inaccurate, or wish to exercise another right, email [email protected] with the type of request. I will respond in accordance with the applicable statutory deadlines. See the Privacy Notice for details.
